How does online tutoring work?

First we meet online in Skype to get to know each other and plan a course of study. 

This meeting is 30 minutes. I will orient you to the Skype environment, and show you some of the features this technology offers you.

Then we will chat about your English skills so far, and I will assess your level by the end of our meeting. 

Finally, we will decide upon a course of study, and schedule our next session.

During each session, which is a minimum of one-hour, and can be up to 2.5 hours, (after that, I find my students need a break!) we will work on the skills YOU decide you need help on. 

Often I will assign some homework from a previous session, and if you like, we can go over your work and make corrections. 

Other students prefer working on listening and comprehension skills, in which case I will facilitate opportunities for you and I to speak, while gently correcting you when you make a mistake. 

Finally, some students need help with English grammar skills. I have plenty of fun lessons in which I teach important grammar rules that you can apply to any English application.
